Review : Child of Light

So, in this role playing game by Ubisoft, we take the role of a little girl, Aurora, who due to a physical ailment caused her to sleep. Upon waking up, she finds herself in the magical land of Lemuria, who has had its sun, moon, and stars stolen by the dark queen, Umbra. So, in order to return back, she must bring back the sun, moon and the stars .

Gameplay : 

                      The game is very fun to play. Although it is not like High-end games like watch_dogs and wolfenstein - the new order, but it sure is very good in terms of its gameplay.

                       Aurora is  accompanied by igniculus- the firefly and other allies, who help us in our fight against her darkest fears. Also help us to open switches, chests and collecting wishes, to help restore health and magic points. Igniculus can also heal Aurora and other allies during battle, but Aurora can be healed anytime in game, given the power-bar of Igniculus is full.

                       Unless other games, fight takes place on a battlefield, where one has to wait for its turn to cast magic, and have to defend while other is trying to hurt them. The timing of the attack is to be precise because one's attack can be interrupted if the enemy cast theirs before you.  After fights, points are rewarded to the characters and to Aurora, which will help to buy skills in the game's menu and one can choose to upgrade HP, MP and attacks,etc.

                       Graphics were good. Although not like other RPG, but keeping in view of the game size, graphics were pretty good.  One thing that I liked was that there was not a single vocal conversation between the characters, but speech is shown on the screen while music is played on the background



So game was fun to play, and it wasn't that long, maybe 10-12hours.



                   


                      

Review : Sniper Elite III

Sniper Elite III is a tactical shooter video game developed by Rebellion Developments and published by 505 Games for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 , Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game is the third installment in the Sniper Elite Series..

In this installment of Sniper Elite, we take the role of Officer Karl Fairburne, as he participates in the North-African Conflict during the Second World War, in which he learns about the Secret Weapon Programme by the Nazi Forces.

Gameplay : 

The game-play of Sniper Elite III is very good. Although the primary weapon is the Sniper Rifle but we are also given additional sidearms including Sub-machines guns and pistols, silenced or not depending on the situation or on personal preference for either going to kill Silently to earn more points or to go loud for everyone to notice and to show off your location. In addition to grenades, player is equipped with tripwires, dynamites and landmines to deploy and kill enemies/destroy vehicles and earn more points.

Binoculars are used for looking out for enemies and can also be used to tag the enemies to get to know more about their movement. When in Sniper Elite Difficulty, a red spot appears when Focus Time is activated to know to projected point of impact. 

When detected by an enemy, enemy soldiers will have a circle of yellow/red over their head, indicating the Alert status. When detected, the player will be forced to relocate from their place to detection to away from it to stay as Ghost.  Louder sounds are used to masked the sounds of Sniper Rifles, and helps to stay undetected.

Graphics in the game were very good, from mountains to the sand, game looked realistic. The detailing in the player and the gun shots, especially the ones from the Sniper Rifle, piercing the skull/other body structures, rupturing heart, lung, kidney  were great..  The reward of the sniper shot is worth to watch, bullet piercing helmets, protective suits, and breaking of bones, rupturing of kidney, lung is certainly fun to watch. Head-shot gives the most point and also gives most beautiful sight in form of piercing of skull.

Sounds in the game are very realistic too. The sounds of bullet breaking through bones/skull and rupturing through kidney, lung feels like real, and the splashing of blood and debris looks real enough.

The listening sense of enemies is very good and can sense you running and actually will go to that location to know to source of the sound. At that time, you are asked to relocate in order to stay undetected or if not, other soldiers will also know your location and their overhead circle will change to red from yellow and they will start to attack you. So, its best to relocate yourself to stay hidden and earn more points in Ghost .

Player in game will earn point for every shot he make, every silent take down of enemy. Silent means more point and points accumulated are used in raising his status.

To put in a nutshell, the game is fun to play, sniper shots, relocation, big maps to roam around to find collectibles, finding sniper nests and completing optional missions along the way.. Its a must-play game for all the sniping,long shot,  tactical game lovers out there.......!!!

Review : Murdered Soul Suspect

Ghost investigating his own murder!!! Really?  Don't believe me? Well, you have to, because its the new video game Murdered : Soul Suspect, developed by Airtight Games and published by Square Enix.

So, in this game we take the role of Detective Ronan O'Conor in the city of Salem, Massachusetts. In the beginning, the protagonist Ronan is thrown out of the window of the house as he was chasing a killer known as Bell Killer.

Died almost immediately falling from the window, and later revived as GHOST. He then met his ling-dead wife Julia, and she told him that he have to solve the unsolved matter to gain entry to another world, so he starts to investigate his own murder.

As story unfolds, we came to know that we were not the only victim of the Bell Killer and that there were many.

The best things about this ghost thing, is that Ronan can actually pass through the walls, possesses the living , and talks to the mediums(ones who are living and can talk to the ghosts)..

So as Ronan, sorry Ghostly Ronan my job is to investigate the murder, find clues. I can also get into the minds of persons and influence them to do some thing that would help me to find my killer.  Once I do find all the evidences, I can line them all up and select three or two most appropriate to the situation and solve the current mystery in the game.

Also enjoy to help the other ghosts which are strangled here and to resolve their pasts and help them Cross over to the afterlife.

Best thing I liked was that I was able to possess Cat to get into the tight spots and climb up ledges and teleport to short distances.

Liked : 

• Story .
• Passing through the Walls. 
• Possessing other people and influencing them to do things.
• Possessing cat.
• Looking for evidences.
• Helping other ghosts.

Disliked :

Nothing is in the game that I disliked. From story to the game play, graphics to the possessing, it was Awesome. The character itself was pretty good and loved to play as Ronan..

Rating :

 9/10.

Murdered : Soul Suspect

I started to play games in this month after a long wait because was busy in Exams, assignments and projects(which are to be submitted next month).  So, the first game that I had got my hands onto was this Murdered : Soul Suspect game. I had watched its trailer and game play before, so was very excited to play this game. 

So, after installing and playing it, I was little out of place to see me dying out in very first part of the game. Although I had watched its gameplay but that was from later parts. So, me dying in the beginning of the game was not very good for me, but that's the theme of the game, so sticked with  it. 

Game starts as me (Detective Ronan) was killed by an assassin known as the Bell Killer. The reason he is known as the Bell Killer is because he used to make the Bell Sign with the body of the person he killed. But later in the game we came to know that there was more than one killer in the game ... And.. Lets keep that to the End.. 

So, Detective Ronan is killed by the Bell Killer by throwing him out of the window while he was pursuing him. Ronan revives as a GHOST and met his long-dead wife Julia, who told him that they can't be united until he solves the unfinished business of this world(which we see is the exposure of the Bell Killer).

As he was investigating his murder, he came to know of his Ghostly abilities from the ghost of Abigail,  a young girl he found . His investigations lead to a girl named Joy,who is the only witness of the murder, with the abililty to see the ghosts and interact with them.

At first, she refused to help Ronan to find his murderer, but he assured her to find her mother so then she offered him her help.

Their investigation lead them to cemetery, where after meeting with the ghost of the drowned girl named Sophia, came to know that the Bell Killer was asking them about some contract.

As the story goes on, he became sure of it that the Bell killer is killing its victims as they were witches.

At Church, Ronan came to know that Bell Killer has attacked the Church killing the father, Iris(who sister was killed by Bell Killer) and other people who stood in this way. Joy was arrested again by Rex(Ronan's Brother In Law). Ronan came to know that the Killer is hiding in the Judgment house. So, he went there.

There Ronan came to know about the killings of the Bell Killer and that they have been occurring for hundreds of years. Ronan also found the ghost of Bexter and he told him that he is killed by the Bell Killer because he is secretly investigating the case following his demotion. And that Joy's Mother(Cassandra) is still alive and working on the case. 

In the basement, flashbacks reveals that Abigail was imprisoned there before she was hanged as punished for accusing several young people of Witchcraft, resulting in their deaths. 

Abigail drew an Bell Symbol and swearing she will not stop until the bell tolls for all the witches in Salem.

As for the investigation, Ronan returns to the museum to know that Rex is the Bell Killer, after being possessed by Abigail. Ronan managed to force Abigail out of Rex as he prepares to hang Joy. It was later known that Abigail had possessed many people before to become the Bell Killer and killing the possessed after they kill, including Bexter, who she used to kill Rose (Iris sister) and Ronan to kill the Sophia. Abigail then summons the portal of Demons to swallow Ronan in, but he manages to escape them , while continuously dragging Abigail in. 

Joy is saved and later reunites by her mother, and Rex remains unaware of his crimes. After that Ronan hears Julia calling him , and turns towards her voice.

Watch_Dogs!

Just ended Watch Dogs, wanted to review about what I liked about it and what not...

Before playing the game, I didn't get much appreciation of the game.  But decided to play because this is one of the game that I looked forward to play. And when started to play, game looked Awesome.. All that hacking stuff, controlling Bridges, Gates, Spying..  GAME IS WONDERFUL.

Missions are good too.... Whole game is based on saving of  Aiden Pearce's Sister(Nicole Pearce). She is abducted by the Ex-partner of Aiden (Damien Brenks), and made a deal to get him  something in exchange for his sister.

Aiden was helped by Clara Lille, member of DedSec and later by Raymond Kenney aka T-Bone... !!

Story is wonderful. Game play is of 35-40hours(campaign missions only). Wanted more than that, but it really is Awesome....!!!
